For years we have don't the ole corral and force them long which looks great when the opposition panic, but when they don't we get opened up.

Hard, relentless, fierce pressure on the man causes fumbles and turnovers.

It's got me ****ed why we don't do this every week. Yes its hard, its a hard game but thats the game you have to play to win.

Easy snipe, but the physical pressure was clearly drilled in over the week. There were a lot of unsociable boys out there tonight, rather than the usual "impress your father in-law" types.

Precisely my sentiments. We all knew these boys were capable of applying this effort, it should be the norm. Lets give them another month the replicate these results before gushing over them. Seems the board has already gone too early.

Butts has been a great servant but the game has moved passed him now and thats ok.
Masten has always been soft, he really needs to do something special at EP to get another recall.

Lots of teams do. Surely a tackle isn't that much worse on your body long term than spending all day sprinting after your opponent who ran around your attempt to corral

Butler is actually a decent tackler. The attack of the ball was the best thing.

Duggane and McGovenr in particular, when there was a loose ball they ran straight at it and through it and it went their way with pure force and desire.

Jetta just picked it up clean like a champion.

Not really. I genuinely thought it was a serious suggestion. I swear I've read people on here before say that an expected number of tackles per game is around 65-70

Don't use Masten and Butler in the same sentence when talking about that. They shouldn't play another game for completely different reasons. That said I'd much much much rather Butler fill and injury than that MARSDEN bloker.
