Like Don't Starve before it, it's taking over the PS4 thread, so time for a thread of its own.

I've played about an hour and found it an incredibly unpleasant experience so far. I'm not made for scary games, apparently.

I'm on hardcore I think? The one just before nightmare.
Problem is I have accidentally hit triangle a couple of times so I have wasted batteries, might need to restart (if I don't want to be running around in the dark)
The problem with me is I know a jump scare is coming but it still scares the crap out of me haha.

Hit Triangle within a minute of being given control.

Worried that's going to bite me later.

I have got to be completely honest here, I am a horror movie buff from way back. I love all the scariest movies like the conjuring, the ring etc BUT this game has me by the balls its going to take some time to finish. I thought myself quite hard because I have played the shit out of all the deadspace games on the hardest difficulty, infact I couldnt stop playing them but Outlast has turned me back into the little school girl it always knew I was :oops:

I went the one below that... I wonder how difficulty changes the experience.... nightmare can suck a fat one I reckon! scary enough
 
I feel like even more of a pussy now, i'm on normal. **** anything higher than that.
