Love my Pacers but i'm not confident at all vs the Pistons. They are ruthless bastards.

The big men will probably nullify each other but i think Detroit will get more from their guards. Not writing off the Pacers at all, but it will take a huge effort. Hope Jermaine's eye is ok.

Should be great to watch. Hope it goes 7.

Detroit play the sort of game thats required to win an nba championship. rather than relying on there offense to get the through games they clamp down on defence and let the offence come. Defence makes offence and that why detroit are the only team out of the east that can match it with the likes of lakers and twolves out west.

You could just as easily replace Detroit with Indiana in that paragraph.

The Pistons over the Forces of Evil in 6.

Two quality teams, but the series doesn't do much for me.

The championship is already the Lakers, just going through the motions at the minute.

Sheed has promised the win for the Pistons in game 2, a win on the road would be handy, followed by two games at the Palace.

Go PISTONS

..and they deliver behind 19 blocks. Both Sheed and O'Neal shoot woefully in the battle of the defences. Reggie has a big game with 21 but has the potential game tying lay up blocked by Prince. I still think Detroit will dominate this series.

72-67 to the Pistons on the Pacers home court. Series tied 1-1 with the next two at the Palace. The Pistons monstered them around the basket, as mentioned earlier, with 19 blocks including a cracker by Tayshaun Prince on a Reggie Miller layup in the closing seconds!

Sheeds prediction comes true. After a 4-17 (or worse) shooting effort from the floor for which he copped a rightful spray from the crowd, when the final buzzer went he was heard to yell at the Indy crowd "I TOLD YOU MOTHERF^(|<ERS!"

Rapt with the effort from Tayshaun.

After the first game he was told that whilst he couldn't match Artest for strength, he could beat him with his length, and he did.

He only played 29 mins for the game, which is well down for him. I don't think he had a block in the first half, though he certainly amended that in the second.
I am still stunned at the 19 blocks for the team
