Milne had a chance to kick a goal, and he hit the post.
Milne passed to Mike Gardiner, and from 15 out almost directly in front, he missed.
Joey was charging in with nobody around him, and from forty directly in front, he missed.
Kosi had two shots that were sitters for him on a better day, he missed.
Banger had one that even he should have kicked, but missed.
Schneider had one in the last quarter that he should have slotted, but he missed.
That's six misses. That's 5 points every time we missed (the goal minus the point we still got). 6 x 5 is 30 points. We had 6.15.51, and instead would have had 12.9.81. I'd take 81 points against Sydney any day.
Therefore, the problem wasn't us going back and forth, or flooding. It was poor kicking at goal. If we'd kicked those 30 points we could so easily have, then we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Ross is aware of that: after the game he told Ten "we have SEVERE issues to deal with this week."
