- Both have talent
- Neither have quite found a position yet
- Big expectations

gratefully most hawthorn fans have finally stopped talking about the hodge/judd thing, the sooner you can forget about looking over your shoulder re: the 2004 draft, the sooner you'll be paying attention to the stuff that matters.

But the Hawks being third is about Richmond.

In 2004 one of our teams took the right path, the other took the wrong one. They are our direct measuring stick for long term success, we got all cocky when we finished above them in the last two years but they appear to be better off long term.

The next two drafts are our chance to put ourselves ahead of them long term, so we better get some good players out of our picks!

and one was cursed and the other wasnt it...broken leg , two knee reco's to two of our marque players was a slight setback that we hadnt planned for.the Hawks finished bottom 4 and gained additional priorities with the twice in a lifetime heist over North melbourne for bonus 1R picks, worked beautifully, meanwhile we need to find another Cogs and Browny to slot into the core of our side
