I thought that the game against the Demons was probably his best game so far. He finally managed to get a mark and a couple of kicks without stuffing up or giving the ball away to the opponent. Who knows, next week, maybe he'll be able to get as many as 4 kicks:D

Definitely one of the positives out of the game. In the second half, he got into the action quite frequently and was beating jeff white in the hitouts.

I knew he needed more time. Lets just see how he goes in the next couple of games.

Good signs.

And why doesn't White get pinged for jumping into players at the centre bounce. Does it every time. Protected overrated species.

:D Reckon the Geelong ruckmen (read: Cam Mooney) will be xtra keen to give Paulie Chambers a touch-up Sat. night.
Not to mention Scarlo will be back to haunt Big Bad Bustling.
You guys must be starting to wonder where the 06 season is heading ????

Hey play nice now...you are a Kangas fan are you not? :D

As for Chambers, best game in Red and White on the weekend. He was more than servivceable, and threw his body into it a few times. Which is good considering where Doyle is at right now.

Another solid game for Torture on the weekend - may not quite be ready to take on Dean Cox head to head yet but heading in the right direction at last. seemed to take on more of the responsibility this week (even leading off in the last qr) as it appears Jolly isn't 100% fit.

Now if he could work on his posture and styling I think he may have an AFL career ahead of him.

I have to agree that he is doing well.

Does look a bit unco at times but his height really helps.

You should wonder more about your own team.

Chambers continues to improve and is beginning to show some undeniable qualities. He played by far his best game vs the Lions. He is agressive and doesn't mind the physical stuff. He tackles and chases well and so fits in perfectly with the team mantra at the Swans. Despite the fact that he is shorter than the average AFL ruckman, he gets his hands on a lot of the ball and that's really all you can ask for.

Obviously his skill level and general football smarts arn't flash and he is yet to prove himself against a really mobile ruckmen like Cox, but IMO the Swans coaching staff will be very happy with Chambers. They got exactly what they were looking for. (for a lottery pick - #35).
