Just heard that picken's report got thrown out...
i reckon he should have got one week...
think of cloke in the prelim in 01 and other soft decisions over the last few years

thoughts???

You blokes are a joke. It's football, not netball.
Deledio took a strong mark, and Picken roughed him up and made him earn it. Good on him. It was a 50 metre penalty at worse, there was no strike involved.
Keep on whinging....

Lol @ dog fans always defending dog acts, ala Libba on Knights, 01'. Which, ironically, would be the last game Wallace ever coached a win in a Richmond vs W Bulldogs match. He punched him fair in the face, drew blood, and got nothing. Dog act from a talentless player. It's what the taggers have to do to stop the players with talent.

One of those well disguised ones where the ball was in the vicinity. 'Sorry I missed the pill...ouch was that your head?'
As a defender myself, I can say that there isn't one instance where you 'accidentally' punch the bloke's head. You always know what you're doing...

it was a cheap shot dog act, he was never going to be able to punch the ball away and just gave him one to head.

bwahaahaha

he drew blood....

nah if it was the other way i think we wouldn't be whinging
just thought it could have been looked at.... as for the doggies supporters you team is a bunch of w***ers any way

He won a Brownlow. But I didn't think this thread was about Libba. Now that you have made it about him though, he would still fit into your best 22 today.

Quite clearly I meant it was a dog act from Picken, cos' Libba got a fair whack of a suspension. But Picken got off scot free. Go figure...

And bloody good footballers. You would love a couple of them. Actually, you would love all 22 of the ones that gave your mob a hiding on Monday.

Nice signature by the way - Please tell me, how is 2009 going for the bloke?

You have no idea. How can you compare the 2 incidents...they are nothing alike!!! Yes Libba hit Knights, I am not denying that! How does Libba have to do with anything from Monday's game??... Apart from the fact he would have done well in the guts for your mob.

Yeah I'd love to have my whole forward line to be retiring at the end of the year, and to be peaking at a time when there's two clearly superior teams. I definitely wouldn't want Picken in my team anyway...

Bloody hell this is ridiculous!! It was a high hit in the contest. Big deal. A free kick or 50m penalty as it was and thats it. Correct decision to be thrown out.
Just think if it was a Richmond player and he got a week for it. Everyone on here would be going mental over it.

Lol, I brought up Libba in one sentance of my original post in here. You highlighted it and kept the Libba theme going, and so I replied. How can I compare them? Well...both dog acts by talentless players trying to stop oppositions' best. Both were to the head, both drew blood. Both came from WBD players. I'd say there's plenty to compare.

Richo is retiring at years end. There goes your forward line.
We have one player retiring(Aker) he is not our forward line.

Compare it with Fraser Gherig's "love tap", Cameron Cloke's suspension from the granny, Heath Shaw's tap on the umpire etc. A full blown punch to the head is more worthy of weeks than any of those...

Richo, our star wingman? What about Johnno, your superstar? He's got a career in acting in the offing...

He won't retire at the end of this year. He knows he has a chance to win a flag withing the next few years. Richo knows there is no chance so why should he work his arse off for a worthless club

In the next few years? So when Murphy, Hahn, Lake and the likes all hit their 30's, and Johnno gets up to 33/4 etc, you guys will have a shot at a flag?

And what is your point? You do see that it matters not whether it was accidental or not from your side of things. Of course he meant to punch him in the head. It is whether in the umpires, or match review committee for the AFL, are in doubt.

Thus the 'well disguised'! All you can do is to try your own well disguised hit on the return leg.

BTW I have played on many a defender who obviously had no idea what he was doing;)

Edit: But I see you are going toe to toe with some Doggies yourself here!

Please name our forwards that are retiring at the end of this year.

If you are referring to Aker and Johnson - Aker only played the final qtr in the forward line yesterday, and Johnson played on a wing for the majority of the game, keeping Richo in check.
R. Murphy to come back into the side - I'd say he's still quite a few years off retiring, along with Gia, Hahn, Minson, Harbrow, Higgins, Hill, and with Grant, Boumann, Cordy, O'shea and Roughead coming along nicely (and I don't mean nicely as in Pattison or Shulz nicely), we are looking pretty set in the forward department for the next 8-12 years. How about you worry about your list deficiencies, and beating Melbourne this week.

How you can turn a thread about Picken's report being thrown out, into having a go at our high scoring forward line is totally beyond me. Keep clutching at straws champ. Go Dees.

Johnson and Aker. Who kicked nearly 40% of the WBD goals yesterday.
Lol Minson in the side ahead of the aforementioned, and yet they're "coming along nicely"? If they were coming along so nicely, they'd be able to push "Big Will" out the side. Clearly they're not. And if your midfield depth was so good, then it would be able to push Picken out, the talentless dog. Nice seguy. Or was that punch him out the side...?

You would go for Melbourne, you seem to have a thing for teams without much support who can't seem to win many flags. You keep going for the underdog...
