Please Richmond through these winter months with games outdoor, everybody must not stop running, quickly run to space for team-mate options, pressure the ball forward, push the ball forward, dispense with the fancy sideways/backwards stuff and remember where the goals are and the only way to get there is TO PHYSICALLY TAKE FORWARD GROUND.

Gold Coast showed us how it should be done last week when you never stop.
North should us what happens when you are lazy on the day.

All effort must be made TOWARDS the goal, otherwise we'll have a lower score than direct football playing oppositions.

These games in the next months are there for OUR taking , only through hard work.
Supporters only get pissed when we don't work.

Absolutely right, Delib, these days the game's all about winning possession, gaining territory then defending it. No more so than in the wet.

Looking forward to the possibility of having a full midfield available sometime in the next couple of weeks. It's a good mix to take us through the winter if we can keep them all on the park. Foley's form has been on an encouraging upward trend, the bye round came at a great time for a number of our mids (particularly Cotchin and Maric I'd say), Conca returns and hopefully we'll get Tucky back ASAP.

Winning more effective first possession from the centre is an advantage we should hold over most sides we face in the upcoming months if we can get all our mids fit and playing at the same time (at long last).

Gold Coast have been very impressive most of this year, especially when you consider how unflattering the form of most of their senior recruits has been. If they'd been relying on them to any degree they'd be in a fair bit of trouble at this stage of the experiment.

This time last year against Freo at the G, we froze baby, froze.
I have a similar sick feeling with this one, and I think we all have a bucket handy.
I really hope Scott Thompson doesn't come up, he could do a Matt De Boer on our arse.
Yeah we should beat them at their best, blah blah, best-ish will do me. :)

Reckon the boys read your post Delib...

There were plenty of great examples of wet weather footy on Saturday, knock on's, kicks off the turf and best of all... I have not counted them but I reckon there were more smothers on Saturday from The Tigers at the "G" than I have seen in 20 years....

Morris alone must have had half a dozen!

Good football Tigers... I :hearts:'ed seein that! :thumbsu:
