Waite will probably get suspended for making contact with Hunt.

Hunts tackle will be weeks as well, maybe as high as 4. Intentional, high contact, high impact. Looked pretty bad. Will probably be a 3 week vacation or a 2 on early guilty plea, though I think that would be a bit weak.

I certainly hope so. Waite could have easily had his shoulder smashed (and could still pull up very sore) after the way he was slammed onto it. . Mind you, it shows the strength of Hunt who Rag Doll'd Waite without any trouble.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hunt was paying Waite back for driving Chapman into the ground after Chappy got rid of the ball at the end of the 1st quarter, as Chap and Hunt are best mates. Good to see Hunt and Waite shaking hands and no hard feelings at the end of the game though

Hams from the Eagles got 3 weeks on Armfield, Pods intentionally got down low on gibbs to hit him in the head.This is why the rule was introduced if he gets less than 3 weeks also with carryover points i would be surprised.

I agree with what you say B&S, but what I cannot understand is why Waite didn't receive a free kick for that tackle, instead Hunt got the free.

Did the umpire interpret it as holding the ball against Waite

Any harder and that could of been a career ending bump on gibbs i thought that was one of the sloppiest bumps ive seen in awhile.. 3 weeks for me.

Hunt should get as much as mummy got for his sling on gazza if they are going to be consistent with it. which could be 4, 3 with a guilty?

And yes great to see gibbs willing to take that hit full well knowing the ramifications of such a bump.
