We can all sit here and go on and on about the negatives of life without Fev. I'd like to point out a few positives:

1. We have gained a 10+ year player who some say will be the next J Brown

2. The club has set up a god culture and shown that no b.s will tolerated

3. There will be less turn overs in our forward 50 (the amount of times we kicked to Fev when he was double or even triple teamed was stupid)

4. Our forward line next year will be less predictable

5. With the trade, we are back in the first round of picks

Thoughts or anything else that comes to mind??

I guess more opportunity for other KP forward talent to shine. I don't think Fev enjoyed any other player taking on the leading forward role. What I really like about Henderson is he is seeking out an opportunity to play CHF at AFL level. No fear, just overwhelming excitement at the chance to get the opportunity at the highest level on the end of delivery from the best midfield in the AFL. Shouts 110% confidence to me.

We could go into the Round 1 Bleakmond game with Kruezer (200cm) at FF and Henderson (196cm) at CHF . 2 very big and very talented KP forwards. There's a lot of upside there. Plus we'll have Eddie, Yarran and Garlett tormenting opposition defenders with their party tricks. We do lack experience, but have bucketloads of talent which is the positive.

:)

fisher now has the opportunity to show people that he can still play AFL football. we all know that he could make a good 3rd forward (like he showed us in 07) which he wasn't able to do in the last 2 years when he was forced to push up in the middle to play as a link man. i really hope he can float forward and take a few grabs with those sticky hands of his. If he can average 1-2 goals a game, im sure we would all be quite happy. (given that he is not de-listed).

setanta can also cause a bit of havoc up forward, playing as a 2nd or 3d target.

Fisher will be OK up forward, I think Setant will really step up to the plate this year (and he won't have to worry about 100kgs of Fev running into his back).

I really can not wait to see Yaz turn it on in 2010! :thumbsu: I also have a feeling Waite will float up occasionally.

Hopefully we can pick up Robbo or Bradshaw to bring a little experience to what will be a very young and developing forward line.

There hasn't been any mention of Fev's contract since before the deal was done. Do we know if we're paying part of his contract? If not, then that's another positive out of this. You'd reckon we'd now have the room in the salary cap to lock people like Gibbs, Kreuz and Murph into the place.

Can't wait for 2010, lets hope you're right about these positives. I can see alot of forwards being nervous about stepping into new territory, exciting times ahead!
