There are no untouchable unlisted members. They do however have to breach rules. What we find is that those who dislike certain posters who have a way of getting under the skin while staying within the rules, breach rules numerous times because they allow it to get to them.

We do not have an adequate answer for this situation.

I guess this means we've been given the go ahead to start a million unlisted supporting aliases to troll on our board.

Simon Nesbit's excellent post didn't deserve this troll as a reply.

Speaking of "making money" right now the Hawks ain't financially viable without that Tassie Government handout/lifeline which is now looking VERY shaky. We might see those merger talks resurface in 2010.

And there's nothing the mods can do because they're not breaking any rules.

The troll isn't even listed as a Carlton supporter.

The board won't improve until unlisted grows up or heads back to the other boards to get it's jollies.

Sure beats my salads posts. Sorry guys, been bored and a currently listed Carlton player and I got into a discussion about salad. Ever since, it's been "salad this, salad that". He and several other Carlton players read this board. In fact, one contributes news under an alias. You can tell who it is if you read between the lines enough (and no it isn't Fev).

Yes Simon's post was very good. The response while trolling in nature is par for the course for many people who go to other boards and get strange reactions. Since their was nothing personal or abusive in that reaction, I guess you file it in the 'whatever' category as I'm sure Simon has already done.

I was red carded on the main board and booted from it for a week or two for less than what parrot gets away with on here.

It must be hard to change your team to Carlton.

A certain amount to rational thought has to go into this. Yes, parrot is clearly trolling opposition supporters all over BigFooty. Parrot has also demonstrated enough knowledge and support of Carlton for it to be believable he/she is a Carlton supporter. I can't look at the unlisted tag and assume parrot is not a Carlton supporter contrary to the available evidence. If parrot was negative towards Carlton most of the time, there might be a case to answer but even then it is not cut and dried.

Most posters go off topic from time to time. I don't think anybody wants us to get that pedantic on our own board, but majority opinion wins the day.

A lot of opposition supporters come in here and get flat out abused if there is any doubt over their intention. If we don't smack them around consistently, it's a bit hard to smack someone who is addressing the poster's team and being deliberately polite in doing so.

It's an individual annoyance to see someone get applauded for what is essentially a routine designed to get a rise out of someone I guess, but there are worse things. Parrot has participated far more on the Carlton board in recent months than I can ever remember and even engaged in discussion amongst Carlton supporters.

I would have to be looking hard to find enough reason to take action, from a totally unemotional point of view.

I have no issues with the person in question, probably because I look at the funny side how he/she reels them in. If the person in question pisses you off, put them on ignore, its not that hard really.
