Problem is, at least Carlton have had the picks which actually gives them an opportuinty to rise up the ladder quickly
Collingwood hasn't had a decent round of draft picks since 2005, which because of their 3-8 positioning over the last 3 seasons and the comprimised drafts going forward, puts them in the 'near enough but not good enough category'
Carlton will probably be the last club in a position to capitalise on the draft picks
It's not as if Geelong had a raft of top five draft picks when they put together their premiership team. Collingwood's youngsters are as good as anyone's IMO, and we've been able to play finals at the same time as we bring them into the team.
