Looking at upgrading to another 'near new' car (2011 onwards) , with a budget of 35-40k. Probably want a 4 door sedan, decent performance, but focused more on the drive/comfort itself.
Won't be long miles anymore, so fuel costs aren't as big a consideration, but need something that can be my daily commuter, but also take the family (2 kids) comfortably. I'd prefer auto so my wife can drive it too, but not essential.
A friend has a 320d, but it has over 100k on the clock (and he drives like a maniac). Taking it for a test drive next weekend.
I've heard some negative things about the E90 BMWs, but the recommended F30's are either out of my price range or way too many kms. Haven't come accross any Lexus IS350s, and whilst I like the look of the various Audi's, I know even less about them.
I haven't driven any (doing so this week), but I have struggled fitting into small cars before (too tall/fat) - so some might be ruled out before I even start.
What does BF recommend? What do you have, what have you driven...etc.
