Problems with X box dvd player...

I have heard a few rumors that there are some problems with the dvd x box.
For example if you dont have a stero tv and certain dvds not working on it.
Anyone know if any of these are true?
Or are there more problems?

i havent had any problems with dvds at all....
wish it had a mod chip so that i could play multi-region dvds tho...

there are some sites around that list problem dvds...

again, the xbox as a gaming machine... the dvd is a bonus...
(i dont have any games... its used primarily for dvd at the moment... with no probs at all).. cheers..

I have heard from one XBox owning friend that it is quite sensitive to any damage on a disc, but nothing beyond that.

Ive had my XBox for around 4 months now and have had absolutely no problems with the DVD player.
