My sister and her bf just bought a PS2 to use for singstar only.

I have never really had a console but I like war/first person shooting/spy/secret agent type games. I wanted to get a few cheap ones off ebay just for something to do on a rainy day. What's some good ones that will be cheapish (i.e. 1-2 years old)?

Cheers

Bit older than 1-2 years. But the original red faction was a great game. Good story, good gameplay. Very enjoyable.

Definetly agree with Black, the game is a bit short though, but extremly fun, and it ends SO open ended, I don't think I have seen a game yet that leaves itself so wide open for a sequel yet no word has been made on whether or not there will be.:((EDIT: Although a little research shows that might be!)

As for a suggestion of my own, Medal Of Honour are usually very consistent war/shooters, usually bring the whole war genre up a notch in each edition and are very rarely poor games, even if you wanted to go back to the very first Medal Of Honour on the PS1, that could be a great stepping stone, and would no doubt be very cheap.

Agreed, Black is a fantastic game. From what I understand it has always been planned as a Trilogy, so we should be seeing 2 more installments :thumbsu:

Medal of Honour is also a great series, fantastic games (except the current one MOH: Airborne - which is not so great).

I would, however, take the Call of Duty series over the MOH series (personally).
