PS3 Ext. HD Issues

I just bought a 500gig WD SATA2 HD and put it inside a Coolermaster ext hd enclosure so I could use it with the PS3 via USB. I have formatted it to FAT32 and it has its own power supply, but it is not detected at all by the PS3, someone please help me, my family are getting pissed off that I spent their money on something that doesnt work

Did you partion it correctly?

You might need to break the drive up into smaller partitions for FAT32 if I remember correctly


Does it work attached to your computer? Can you copy stuff to it?

It works perfectly on my computer, thats why I think it may be a driver related issue re. the hd casing
