Apparently dev kits have been sent out to third party devs. If they’re expected to have launch titles then we could guess a 2020 date but for some reason I’m still thinking of a 2019 date, mostly because I don’t see how the current hardware can remain relevant until 2020. First party devs would have got the kits earlier as I assume some larger devs would have.

I have a first gen PS4, I don't think it feels particularly dated. I could see the PS4 Pro easily lasting until 2020. Would be awesome if PS5 comes out 2019 though.

Truth be told the hardware with both the PS4 and Xbox one were outdated by a few years when it arrived let alone now, although we don't need any more "power" right now.

Of course you would plan ahead But I couldn't see Sony kickstart the next generation when they are on top by a mile away on hardware sales.

I doubt the switch is providing that much pressure despite it's sales when it's a different market with Nintendo's software and hybrid scheme.
