Because I’m in iso and bored decided to rank the Wrestlemania Main events.

  1. Wrestlemania 26: Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels Easy to place. The perfect match for HBK to go out.
  2. Wrestlemania 20: HHH vs Shawn Michaels vs Chris Benoit (Triple Threat). The iconic scene of Eddie and Chris celebrating all they been through at the end of the match.
  3. Wrestlemania 30: Orton vs Batista vs Daniel Bryan (Triple Threat). Another perfect ending. The story couldn’t have been much better.
  4. Wrestlemania 36 Night one : AJ Styles vs Undertaker (Boneyard match; Cinematic match). A great way for the Undertaker to retire on.
  5. Wrestlemania 6:Warrior vs Hogan (Title vs Title). The first Wrestlemania main event that you wasn’t sure who was going to win.
  6. Wrestlemania 12: Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels (60 min Iron man match). A classic by 2 masters of the craft of story telling. Some people may find this match long and boring, but not too many performers could have pulled off a nil all draw after an hour.
  7. Wrestlemania 15: The Rock vs Stone Cold (Mankind as special referee). The first of their Wrestlemania trilogy. Out of the 3 this one sits in the middle. It’s unfortunate that their last match wasn’t the main event.
  8. Wrestlemania 28: John Cena vs The Rock (Once in a lifetime). The better match of the 2. It’s just a shame the second one happened.
  9. Wrestlemania 3 Hogan vs Andre The body slam heard around the world. It’s up this high because it was an iconic moment.
  10. Wrestlemania 17: Rock vs Stone cold. The heel turn from Austin ruins the match. This match gets brought down because of it.
  11. Wrestlemania 19: Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesner. Two suburb wrestlers going for it. The blotched shooting star press is what makes this match infamous.
  12. Wrestlemania 24: Edge vs Undertaker. One of the rare times that you thought the streak could be broken. Both put on a great Mach.
  13. Wrestlemania 21: HHH vs Batista. More known for the story leading up to it. The fact that they could continue the story was a great accomplishment.
  14. Wrestlemania 22: John Cena vs HHH. The beginning of the Cena era.
  15. Wrestlemania 5: Savage vs Hogan. Ranks this high due to the 12 month build.
  16. Wrestlemania 23: John Cena vs Shawn Michaels. Cena was in full flight. Michaels proved why he is dubbed Mr. wrestlemania.
  17. Wrestlemania 14: Stone Cold vs Shawn Michaels (with Mike Tyson as special enforcer). The beginning of Stone Cold. It also started the slow build to the Austin/MacMahon rivalry.
  18. Wrestlemania 35: Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair (Triple threat). The first time women main evented Wrestlemania. It would be a little bit higher if it was Becky vs Rhonda. Charlotte brings it down.
  19. Wrestlemania 31: Brock Lesner vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins (Rollins cashed in his MIB halfway through the match creating a triple threat). Seth saves the match and the crowd by cashing in his MIB contract forcing a triple threat.
  20. Wrestlemania 1: Hogan, Mr T with Jimmy Snuka vs Piper, Orndoff with Cowboy Bob Orton The beginning of Wrestlemania. Muhammad Ali has special outside referee. Paul Orndorff’s face turn. Add Mr T to the event for a first time thing it was huge. While the match isn’t a wrestling classic, it is what set the tone.
  21. Wrestlemania 37 Night one: Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair. Two solid workers, that created a new star.
  22. Wrestlemania 25: HHH vs Randy Orton The story leading up to this match was awesome. Unfortunately the match wasn’t as awesome.
  23. Wrestlemania 10: Yokozuna vs Bret Hart. After the fiasco of the previous year, it was a fitting conclusion. Also created interest seeing that earlier that night Owen Hart defeated Bret. Seeing the look on Owen’s face as Bret is lifted up is priceless.
  24. Wrestlemania 37 Night 2: Roman Reigns vs Edge vs Daniel Bryan. It should have just been Edge vs Roman.
  25. Wrestlemania 29: The Rock vs John Cena. The second of their one time only match. Very predictable and very much missing CM Punk.
  26. Wrestlemania 4: Savage vs DiBiase On paper should be a hell of a match. Short match with interference from both Hogan and Andre. Hogan still has to make it about himself..
  27. Wrestlemania 2: Hogan vs King Kong Bundy (cage match). One could climb, the other could only escape by the door. Predictable.
  28. Wrestlemania 13: Undertaker vs Sycho Sid. Ended up being a no DQ match. After the Stone Cold Bret Hart match, everything else was always going to be substandard.
  29. Wrestlemania 2000: Triple H vs Rock vs Mankind vs Big Show. (With a MacMahon in every corner) (Elimination Fatal Four way match) The MacMahons inserting themselves in the match. Take out the MacMahons, Big Show and Foley, and this match improves drastically.
  30. Wrestlemania 18: Chris Jericho vs HHH. Once again upstaged by Rock vs Hogan. Leaves this feeling flat.
  31. Wrestlemania 36 Night 2: Drew McIntyre vs Brock Lesner. Your typical Brock Lesner match post 2013. The only difference is he put over someone else.
  32. Wrestlemania 11: Bam Bam Bigelow vs Lawrence Taylor. Bam Bam needs to get more credit for this match. While it’s more a mid card match, Bam Bam does a great job in carrying LT
  33. Wrestlemania 27: The Miz vs John Cena. Only thing memorable is the Rock costing Cena.
  34. Wrestlemania 8: Hogan vs Sid Justice. Another match that should never have been the main event.
  35. Wrestlemania 33: Roman Reigns vs the Undertaker. Supposedly Undertakers last match. Fortunately he came back to retire with the Boneyard match.
  36. Wrestlemania 7: Hogan vs Slaughter. Turning Slaughter heel by having him appear to be an Iraqi sympathiser. With the all American Hulk Hogan saving the day.
  37. Wrestlemania 34: Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesner. Reign’s Third consecutive wrestlemania main event. He still couldn’t get the job done against Lesner.
  38. Wrestlemania 32: HHH vs Roman Reigns
  39. Wrestlemania 9: Yokozuna vs Bret Hart; Yokozuna vs Hulk Hogan. Fuji throws salt in Hart’s eyes. Yokozuna pins Bret. Hogan comes to save the day. Fuji issues challenge, throws salt, Hogan ducks, salt hits Yokozuna, Hulk leg drops Yokozuna. Disappears for months before dropping belt back to Yokozuna. What a ******* mess.

Wrestlemania 31 should be higher IMO. Watched it again recently and it was electric in that stadium, with the big shock ending.
