What a game to watch, don't think i've seen one that exciting in years.

Triple M radio used to do these votes, I thought they were always interesting to listen to, but no one ever kept a tally for the year which I thought would have been interesting. I'll try and keep a tally throughout the year.

For mine, against Hawks ours went to:

1. Simpson - Wasn't bad after he came back on from his shin injury, but for the first 3 quarters he wasn't his best. This vote could have gone to a few other players, Bentley (but you don't put first gamers in WoG votes) or even Wiggins purely because he has lifted his expectations so high this year.

2. Thorton - Took 1 very courageous mark, and got a lot of cheap kicks. They don't count fullback kick outs in the stats, I reckon they almost need to stop counting that second one from the pocket also. Anyway, t-bird was killed yesterday.

3. Cloke - Can't say much, easily deserved.

Wiggins and Houlihan also put their hands up for selection.
It was almost a given those mentioned in other posts would let the team down against a tough and physical opponent this week.

I thought (excluding bentley) houlihan was worst. COuldnt hack the hawks pressure. Maybe he could just play against the weaker teams...some sort of travis johstone style rotation (not a joke)

Bentley seemed over-awed and may as well have been playing for Hawthorn - totally useless! Cloke and Wiggins were terrible - did nothing, especially Cloke. Russell will likely keep his place as he wasn't our worst player and he's played fairly well up until yesterday. Hadley should have been in that side instead of Bentley (Bentley shouldn't have played his first game in such a big match). Need more help for Fev (and Eddie) up forward - one, or ultimately two of: Yarran/Robinson/Fisher/Garlett (know he's injured at the moment) - even Ellard or Hartlett for God's sake!

Bentley/Cloke/Wiggins/Thorton (at least he got his hands on the ball and played on their best player) - two of you will be out next week!

I don't understand how people can put Russel in that list, he honestly wasnt that bad.

Cloke and bentley were by far the worst, we basically played with 20 players. Sentanta was back to the average form we know best from him, looked useless on a number of occassions.

Hope Hammer has another very solid game today in the two's

Houlihan is our travis j
Cant remember him playing a good game against a hard side like hawthorn

I'm a bit harsh on houla. But if you dont give it first chance then you better be ablet to stand up in the tackle not fold.

well i don't usually bag carlton players and i kind of annoys me when people do but the see the difference in our best and worst players today just stood out like dogs cohunas. to see judd, murphy, stevens etc and compare them to setanta, bentley that is where we lost the game.

worst players toaday

3 votes cloke probablt the worst game i have seen him play the ball hitting him in the head could not do a thing right

2 bentley too slow was over aued by the speed of the game and did not have any poise when he got the ball.

1 setanta had a shocker kicked a good goal nothing else good

also mention to houlihan(looked soft today)
