Re-inventing classics ...

Which classic games (from the 80s/90s) would you like to see make a comeback on PC/Xbox/PS2/GC etc?

Would a game like Double Dragon satisfy the modern day gamer? Or have these games had their day in the sun?

hmmm..yes, an old fave... double dragon...
u'd have to make it a bit harder than always just using the good ol 'elbow' attack..

yes.. some other fave's i'd love to see an update on:

bubble bobble
elevator action
bad dudes vs dragon ninja
dragon breed
hippodrome
ninja gaiden
rainbow islands
snow bros
shinobi

Rainbow Islands was brill, seemed to find a new feature in every game.

Ninja Gaiden and Shinobi are both being remade as we speak. I know Shinobi is coming to PS2, but i can't remember for sure which platform Ninja Gaiden is coming to.......i think it's PS2 as well.

The classic Commodore 64 game Pirates is being remade for XBox. I loved the original Pirates! Double Dragon would be cool and an updated 1942 would be awesome.

That was a cool game.

There was an 'updated' PC version, and also an NES version.

I think there was also a really early cheesy 4 colour PC version too.

I would like to see a ps2 version of Battle toads...

That game was awesome, I miss those 2 player beat them up games, the only game I can think that does that for ps2 would be dynasty warriors 3.

i think i left out 'Shadow Dancer'.. which was a shinobi sequel i think... partnered with a white dog...
