waiving Jeff George, and picking up Kent Graham to replace him. Its like theyre running a comedy routine in Washington- I guess in AFL terms thats like dumping Scott Cummings, just to replace him with David Calthorpe.

I predict the Skins to finish up 3-13.

:D

Why doesn't the spoilt little rich kid Snyder go a buy himself a good QB. He reckons money can buy everything so why doesn't he go and get a Warner, Manning or McNabb or maybe he could buy all 3.:)

Anyway, I don't like new starting QB Tony Banks chances to much. After all he did lose his starting jobs to Dilfer in Baltimore and Carter in Dallas.

While speaking of the Redskins, does anybody know what has happen to Deion Sanders?. I heard that he was thinking of playing baseball again but I haven't heard anything since. Has he retired from the NFL?, because as far as I know he hasn't been playing for Washington.

Yes, Carb, Sanders did go back to baseball. The Cincinatti Reds signed him and he actually hit a home run in his first at-bat back in the majors. He was playing mainly on the bench the rest of the season and I don't know whether he'll be playing football at all.

Thanks for that Hippie. I have just been looking at the Redskins team roster and Sanders name is not on it. So it looks like he might not be playing football this year. Sad loss as he was a great player and very exciting to watch.

Carb, Sanders did 'retire' from football and didn't have to return the unused portion of his signing bonus either from what I recall. There is however a chance that Peion may come back next year with another team if he can find another sucker to sting.

The Redskins should have signed Dilfer when they had the chance.

Same Old's, Dilfer might of been the QB of the Super Bowl champions last year but he isn't really a good QB. He can't even get the starting job at Seattle and their starting QB at the moment Matt Hasselbeck sucks.

The Ravens didn't win the SB last year because of Dilfer they won it because of their defense and the fact that they could run the ball. All Dilfer had to do was throw the ocassional long pass down the field and that is about all he is capable of doing.

If anything the Redskins should of kept Brad Johnson. His 1st season with the Redskins was great but his 2nd season was poor maybe that was because he lost his number 1 receiver Micheael Westbrook to a knee injury early in his 2nd season. Anyway the Redskins tried to buy a championship and it didn't work. They deserve everything they get.

omh, I take it you don't like Deion very much.

The Redskins are in deep poo this year. They busted their cap and had to cut 26 players. They have a new coach, a new offense and pretty much a new team to learn it all.

One thing I will say, if Washington will have patience with Marty Schottenheimer and let him rebuild the team the way he wants, they will be in the play-offs again within 3 years. No one plays old-style conservative smashmouth football like Marty. However, he will need time to build an inside O-line, get a comittee of running backs, and one hell of an adequate defense.

I never cared for Deion Sanders myself. If anyone here wants to hate him....hate at will. He has great skills as a man-to man defensive back, but is a sissy boy. If the ball does get by him, he needs help. I myself can tackle better than that guy. When he played offense or kick return, he complained to the refs EACH time he was hit. I have no respect for him as an NFL player. I have come to find out that arrogance is a great sin to Aussies. Sanders got on my "US arrogant tolerant" nerves. :D I wish him the best in baseball. He is welcome coming to the KC Royals, but we couldn't afford him.

One other thing. The Chiefs are going to destroy the Redskins tomorrow. Peace,

Mooster

I'm always suspicious of people who "find God" and say material possessions are not the be all and end all but then turn around and screw teams for money and drain every last drop.

Great CB, best ever but as a person couldn't described the same way. Helped the Cowboys win 1 of their 3 SB's in the 90's so he has given me some fond memories none-the-less.

Carb,

I was being sarcastic.

The thing is they probably should have signed him as a back-up simply for locker-room morale. I heard he is a good leader.

Sorry Same Old's, I didn't see the winking icon at the top of your message. Anyway i don't think it would matter to much who the QB is at Washington because their defense just simply sucks.
