I sure hope Reebok are giving us some major sponsorship dollars cos I went to their factory outlet in Melbourne and they had jack worth buying. And I really wanted to buy something from the new sponsor. Their everyday range was ordinary and they had zero Power merchandise. Even the Nike shop still had some Power gear. So it was back to the old faithfuls of Nike, adidas (even though they sponsor you know who) and the under-rated Champion.

I would have been worried if the factory outlet store did have Port gear already. Aren't they basically there to sell of surplus stock cheaply ?

Factory outlet stores are a major target for interstate football supporters making the trip over. It's remiss of them not to have merchandise available. Anyway, my main point was about their lack of anything that really said "buy me". I'm sure they'd rather have had the $100s of dollars that I saw one Port supporting family spend at the adidas outlet.

They are a target because they are cheap ..... and they are cheap because they sell end of line or excess stock AFAIK.

I was over last year and in the Nike store - and saw nothing (this was around May) but come end of the year the place was crawling with Port gear.

PS - other than the Adidas/Nike etc cluster, are there any other good factory outlets worth looking at - I'm heading over for the Carlton game.

EDIT: I'll agree though that in general RBK clothing has never really jumped out at me - although in my opinion the RBK club gear available is a step up from the Nike merchandise that we had.

Reebok did have a fair stock of gear for one Vic club - might've been Kangas, but that was it.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Nike gear - it's overpriced for what you get.

I pretty much stuck to the Smith St outlets. Converse, adididas, Champion are all good. There's a decent sized Rebel Sports in Bourke Street. Had some good looking Power merchandise, competitively priced.

The adidas outlet did have some gear for the clubs they sponsor (who shall remain nameless) - mostly guernseys from what I saw.
