Richmond requests second opinion on finances

Richmond has asked the AFL to cast an eye over its financial books as it prepares to record a loss of around $2 million this season.

The AFL says the request was made due to Richmond having an "under-resourced finance department".

AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou says the Tigers have not made any request for financial assistance but have asked for guidance from the league.

"The Richmond Football Club has been keeping our finance department abreast of their situation for probably the past two to three months," he said.

Bloody clinton casey has cut the guts out of human resources out of the club and we STILL lose a truckload of money.

God help us.

I think Casey employed a couple of rogue currency traders when he was first appointed.

Hopefully he'll follow Frank Cicutto's lead.
