If Richo keeps it up, he could be wearing old charlie late in Sept....

He always polls well in the Brownlow.

we all know hes a champion and one of if not the best contested mark in the comp. he will do very well in the Brownlow if he can keep this up

Imagine how many marks he'd take if he actually learned how to mark properly when the ball is below eye level. Until he starts taking grabs out in front of him - in his hands - and eradicates that unnecessary chest marking, which so often bounces out of his grasp, he will continue to struggle against a quality fullback.

That said, he will always destroy a mediocre backman in a one-on-one. Like today.

God Bless him and all who sail in him!

I have a house full of in-laws from Melbourne down here after getting married this weekend. All are insane Collingwood and Essendon supporters and for 3 days have given me nothing but crap about how Richo sux and how 2nd rate Tassie's football talent is!

Well the boy from Devonport who wears No 12 just inserted 6 large ones up their collective freckles and we are 5th on the ladder and they had to tolerate me ********ed as and hammering it home to them all afternoon and last night because I forced em all to watch it live on Fox yesterday! Some days its just great to be alive...They now wish their sister married someone else roflmao! Throat is sore as from singing some song...catchy tune that eh ahhahaaha Even gave it a run over brekky thsi morning.

You have got to be joking. Richo's the best contested mark in the league. The only guy who comes close to him is chad cornes. Marking is the one thing about Richo which u simply just can't knock.

He must have the most highs and lows in one footy game than anyone ever. :D

Today, he nearly missed from less than 1 metre and had to juggle a chest mark :D

and dont forget the mark he took on the tip of the 10 metre square and played on and kicked the goal as he got slung.

Over his head he is a good contested mark but ghost was talking about when the ball is below eye level. He tries to take a chest mark instead of in outstretched hands. As you've said he is a very good contested mark so he should grab the ball in his hands instead of trying to mark it on his chest. Ron Barrassi used to drag players if they took a chest mark!!
