Just wondering what you guys make of Rciky Petterd's place in the team?

thought he was pretty stiff getting dropped earlier in the year (after round one???) and have been a little worried by his continued injury- sounded a little like OP to me...

where does ricky fit into our line-up, especially now that Bartram's back and starting to find his feet.

is he in competition with whelan, dunn, silvia, buckley, bell, bode, c johnson and grimes- all of whom can play a similar role/position?

loved him last year- haven't heard him mentioned in discussions about our future recently though...

It does sound like he has OP, but I hope he gets back some time, I really like the way he goes about it.

The whole Gold Coast thing is planned to come up at some stage, so may as well mention it now. For mine he is a very good young player and I would not want to lose him, but if they really load the Coast up with draft picks the club would be foolish to not get on the front foot and try to get a really good deal for him. As mentioned we do have a lot of talented smalls so the club could give him up for a chance at a talented tall we may need.

Like with most youngins, he was given a chance to play on the half back line when he debuted but I would like to see him move into the midfield and provide the silver lining to our midfield as we have a great abundance of hard nuts. He, along with Buckley and Morton can hopefully make up a good outside unit with Jones, McLean and Moloney at the bottom of packs. He certainly has a lot to suggest that he's a smooth mover, I liken him to Nick Dal Santo a little.

Hope to hell he gets over that shitty OP as soon as he can

looking forward to seeing him play some good footy... i was OS last year when he played his best games, so i'm yet to see what everyone is so excited about...

If you can get your mits on a copy of his debut game against Sydney or ND's last game as coach against Essendon, you'll see what all the fuss is about

I am a big fan of Ricky Petterd i can see him as a future midfielder/wing type player, but i think he is a real chance to go to the new Gold Coast team when it eventually gets started & as stated if this is the case i hope the club gets a good deal in return ie draft picks!

Ricky's back on the Herald Sun injury list as: groin 1-2 weeks.

that's gotta be OP, doesn't it?

looks like he won't be back for a while yet.
