Here we can post riddles and brain teasers to keep us occupied if we need some mental stimulation. One of my personal fav's is:

I am holier than God,
More Evil than the devil,
The poor have me,
The rich envy me,
Who Am I?

Also:
2 Fathers and 2 sons went fishing, and each caught 1 fish each. But they only came home with 3 fish. Why?

I've got one..

2 identical doors; each guarded by identical looking guards.
1 door leads to heaven; 1 door leads to hell.
The guard in front of the door leading to heaven will always tell the truth.
The guard in front of the door leading to hell will always tell a lie.

Assuming you want to enter heaven, you have 1 question to ask either of the guards to find out which door to enter.

There is only one correct question to ask.

What is it?

A plumber and an electrician walk into a store. One is the father of the other ones son. How?

What colour is blue?
Will Richmond win the 2010 grand final?
Did Melbourne tank in 2009?

Seems like there is more than 1 question that would get you to heaven...

Three men form a line facing a wall. While their eyes are closed, a hat is placed on each of their heads. The men know that the hats were selected from a barrel that originally contained 3 white hats and 2 black hats. The man at the back of the line, who can see only the hats on the two men ahead of him, says that he does not know what color hat he is wearing. The man in the middle, who can see only the hat of the man at the front of the line, then says that he does not know what color hat he is wearing either. Finally, the man in the front, who can see no hats, says that he knows what color hat he is wearing.

All 10 Sheiks in the Sultan's dominion have delivered their annual tribute, bags of one ounce gold coins. The Sultan has learned through an informant that one of the Sheiks has cheated him by shaving off a tenth of an ounce of gold from each coin in the bag he gave the Sultan. However, the informant didn't know which Sheik was the culprit. The Sultan wants to identify the cheater while the public executioner is still in town, but the Sultan has only an old drug store scale available to weigh coins. The scale is very accurate, but it requires the deposit of a U.S. penny for each weighing, and the Sultan has only one penny.

How can the Sultan determine which of the Sheiks have cheated him, using the drug store scale to provide a single weight reading

Damn. Neither of those are the answers, but I've obviously left some crucial aspect out.

I actually borrowed it from a Ricky Gervais podcast, so I'll have to listen to it again to update it. The way he asks it, there is actually only one real question/answer.

And it's not what Karl Pilkington suggested - feel around the doors to see which one's hot and which is cold. :p

Been said, but nothing and grandfather, father, son

Finally, the man in the front, who can see no hats, says that he knows what color hat he is wearing.

The one at the back does not know, therefore he sees either one white and one black, or two whites.

The middle one knows this, and seeing a white hat on the man in front, does not know whether his is another white, or a black.

Therefore the man at the front knows that his is white.

Put 1 of the first sheik's coins, 2 of the second sheik's coins, 3 of the third sheik's coins ... 9 of the ninth sheik's coins and none of the last sheik's coins on the scale.

If it weighs 45 ounces, the tenth sheik is the guilty one. If it weighs 44.9 ounces, the first sheik is guily. 44.8, the second. 44.7 the third. 44.6 the fourth. 44.5, the fifth. 44.4, the sixth. 44.3, the seventh. 44.2 the eighth, 44.1 the ninth.

"Is this the door that leads to heaven?" or something dumb like that

Why was 6 afraid of 7?

If you asked that the Heaven guard would tell the truth and say yes, the Hell guard would lie and say yes.

cos seven ate 9

Wrong. It was coz seven eight nine ;)
