Just look at any of the previous threads started every week on here by an opposition supporter asking the exact same question and you'll find the answer is a pretty consistent no.

Sure do, but I think he had a case of "Frawleyism" when he was at the Tiges, made a lot of #$ck up's when he was playing. 2 knee recons in a row was his downfall, interested to see what happens with Cogs?

Rodan had only one knee reconstruction whilst at the Tigers. If anyone saw him play at Coburg they would have agreed with his sacking. It does make a huge difference if you have great players around you (Cornes, Lade, Burgoyne etc).

can you see the problem with the tigers? We are getting rid of players that need great players around them to make a huge difference and keeping the players around that keep us saying what you are saying about having great players around you. When the tigers brains trust wake up then we might see a change in the landscape. The ones that have been there for the last 7 or so years, that are not great players and can never be great players. So we can never get to the point where we have others benefitting from it.
Pettifer is one of the classic examples. The excuses keep coming, oh he is paid to kick goals, he is this he is that...but the problem is he is paid to play footy. Apart from a few marks that come out of out of left field mistakes from the opposition or a lucky break with a kick off the side of the boot, is totally ineffective to the overall game. If he lays a tackle its purely that the defender turned the wrong way because of someone elses pressure into his arms...apart from that its like there isnt anyone there.
If he was, and made the grade with the overall influence on a contest, then players like Rodan might have been able to get the spill and snap the goals, just like he does at Port.
They have an Ebert running around like a blue ass fly in the FL, keeping the pressure on the contest and kicking goals and we have petiffer running up and down on the spot.
Its been ow many years and the improvenment in his speed is non existent. Which raises another problem with who is guiding these dudes.
Blind freddy can see that he is slow and as agaile as the QE2, but there seems to be nothing done about it.
I mean, you see other HFs like Didak, Ebert, O'keefe etc, turning on a 5 cent coin to get the snap in, or wrong foot the oncoming defender and to this day, i havent seen Petrifer actually get passed an oncoming defender.
