I think it is a bit rough on Paul Roos to talk of appointing Wallace when he has performed extremely well since he has taken over as head coach. I reckon that Roos may even be a better long-term option as he offers to bring a new dimension to the game with new ideas, Wallace has shown all of his.

I think Paul Roos has done a great job with the Swans in his time at the helm this year. They seem to be playing very good footy under him, and I would think it would be a harsh call if he was givin his marching orders at the end of the year.

Anyway, while I'm here, well done on your great win last week against the Dees. Great performance!!

Cheers!!

I'd prefer Roos to Wallace, Roos has been a breath of fresh air around the place and the players have loosened up under his command and let their football do the talking, and the results have started to show!

Terry Wallace, albeit a fine coach who has done a great deal to the Western Bulldogs, has been shown to be a defensive style coach as was Rocket, employing flooding tactics regularly sometimes to the team's detriment. The Swans are relishing their new coach and his new strategies and as a result are playing refreshing football, I'd find it very disappointing to see this ray of sunshine at the end of this season disappear as the Swans take another defensive minded coach.

I believe Sydney should show faith in Roos and appoint him coach, I believe he has the potential to do real good for the Swans. Nothing against Wallace, but from what I've seen recently I believe the Swans would have a better chance of reaching the finals next season with Roos at the helm than Wallace at the helm.

I believe most Swans supporters would like Roos to be retained for next season rather than Wallace, though part of me believes it's already a done deal between Colless and Wallace that Wallace will be with the Swans next year, in that case it would be hard on Roos who has done a terrific job under trying circumstances this season.

yeah, well said Sydneyfan

I would also make the point that Wallace is a self-confessed 'careerist' coach would has absolutely no affection, affinity, understanding or even desire for Sydney or indeed the Swans themselves.

He sees us as a 'career opportunity' - a chance to coach and rich qnd high profile club to an elusive premiership.

Thats fine - but that club could might as well be Dimboola 3rds for all Wallace really cares...

One also has to remember Coless is on record as saying the club would like to appoint a coach who has a genuine 'passion' for the club.

Wallace has no passion for the Red and White, and he has no understanding or empathy for the circumstances and conditions of Australian Rules Footy here in Sydney/NSW.

I don't want Wallace at Sydney, he would be a square peg in a round hole.

cheers
