Really enjoyable performance. It's a bit of a duel edged sword though. Great to get the win, but we’ve dropped to 5th (currently) in the draft pecking order. I guess we’ll never know the cost benefit of the win v sliding a few places.

I think Pie 4 Life was saying, its probably a bit more even draft this year. Not like the generational talent like Centra from last year. But i'm not sure us potentially having pick 5 v pick 2 will do much damage. We likely would still get a very good player

Well not one likely to be available to us. Usher is the best junior talent in the history of the game, but assuming she goes Gold Coast, yeah Centra would be picked ahead of the rest.

I think for what we need the most, that pick five region is not too bad. We'll be able to get a tall if we go down that route. As I said early I'd probably split the pick if possible, grab another quality classy mid, and a tall.

Yeah Usher is something special. Hasn’t played for two years but quite literally her highlights tape would be impressive for a boys prospect. She’s the first player who we say could even make it in the men’s competition (obviously height an issue but her combination of literally everything else is on another level).

I think if we keep it we look at the likes of Olivia Wolmarans if Dekota Baron goes to Suns. Gives a genuine key forward option. From a midfield option, Tayla McMillan, Mia Russo would be my picks. Tough and clean. If we can split it, could grab someone like an Olivia Crane (rebounding half-back) and Wolmarans if she slides (both Subi players). But also Priya Bowering or Carys D’Addario are great mid options mid first round. So could grab a tall and one of them potentially.

Yeah but it goes to show just how good she is. Aside from constantly breaking ankles of opposition players and then taking on multiple players to kick goals, I fondly remember at 15 when she launched a goal from 50m off a couple of steps at the back of a stoppage and it sailed past the line. Like I mean it when I say her highlights package would be good for literally either competition haha
