sorry, for overlooking the likes of goddard, franklin and mitchell. hope you don't mind, but looking through those players in particular it really does look like players from the hawthorn v st kilda game might be one to avoid selecting a captain from. goddard hasn't scored a tonne against the hawks since 2006. whilst franklin and mitchell have only had 1 tonne against the saints in their last 4 outings.

j.selwood the big standout. carves up against the dee's. whilst murphy should be extremely popular against gws. judd also. i included josh p. kennedy give his hot run of form at the moment.

A.Goodes: (106, 82, 107, 10) - 76
B.Goddard: (78, 97, 85, 143) - 100
L.Franklin: (122, 88, 55, 59) - 81
S.Mitchell: (85, 85, 111, 79) - 90
B.Harvey: (64, 88, 176, 94) - 105

edit: just realised judd will miss. sorry for including him. on the plus side, it may put rumours of murphy missing to rest. on the negative side of it, gws can put a fair bit more attention on him due to judd's omission.

Who do you choose from Pendlebury (WBD), Murphy (GWS) or Barlow (GC)? :o

Selwoods average vs melbourne is mouth watering.

But im concerned that melbourne finally have a decent run with player in magner who has been solid vs Boyd and Dal in the last two weeks.

Murphy or pendlebury for me

Picken to Pendles?

Selwood for mine if they decide not to rest him. All things being equal I will have JP Kennedy before lockout so it's out of those two.

If Selwoods picked, cant go past him this week, provided of course he plays. If he doesn't i'll prob just play it safe and go Pendles, although Barlow does present an interesting option.

Selwood was heavily tagged last week and managed a 114! Raines is no slouch in the tagging department.

Named on the bench this week doesn’t instil a lot of confidence though. Late withdrawal has just become a significant possibility.

Why would Selwood be rested?

Have i missed something?

Copped a couple knocks to the head last week... one when he crashed with Raines in the first qtr.. another is the strike that Raines did to Selwood and sent him off dizzy...

And Selwood has a history of knocks to the head so they may take it easy and rest him...

I'll still be taking my VC choice very seriously, just in case.

Voted Pendles.... But Selwood is tempting me

Picken a chance to stand Swan after last week? Or will they let him run free and continue to tag Pendles?

Might put the VC on Pendles and C on Selwood.....
