Heard a very interesting rumour from a mate this afternoon. Now that the Carlton One ticket has one the right to have an election on November 12, and that the overwhelming consensus is that Ian Collins will get in.

This means that at the AGM on December 10, 3 of the new board members will need to be re-elected. Well, the rumour is that Ian Collins will stand down and that Mike Fitzpatrick will put his hand up for President. The reason he didn't become part on the Carlton One ticket is becuase he wanted to wait until everything had settled down.

He has no time to be prez, he could possibly run for board and he would get in easy, but I doubt he'd have time for Prez, he himself indicated that he had no time for it at this stage but I can see him running in about 2005, and that would be when Collo decides, enough is enough, time for some change, unlike Elliot who just doesn't know when to stand down.

I think youd find the majority, no read ALL, Carlton supporters would love this to happen. Sadly i dont think it will. But here is hoping

As said earlier, at the moment he doesn't seem to have time. But I think he's said that he'd look at it in a few years. Collins to steady the ship as prez for 2-3 years, then Fitzy to take over: I think we'd all like that.

Board Positions

Hi, a very big rumour Kevin Hall and Barry Stones have handed in their resignations, both are board members, excellent news, seems like the wheels are falling off for Elliot.
