We need to take a chance on a KP forward from another club at the end of the year. "Rebuilding" is one thing, but we can't go on like this. Either we get lucky and the recycled player is handy or he isn't and we're exactly where we were going to be anyway. Otherwise we can do whatever we want with the forward and backlines but we're not going to kick competitive scores.

I'll suggest Ryan Willits from Port, been in the system a while now and will probably get the boot at the end of the year. I see alot of potential in the kid, has had complications with his SANFL team there and had a lot of competition for the big man up front. I'd be happy if the roos took a punt on him.

Terrible shame about Robbo, great to watch when he's on and seems like a really genuine bloke.

he apparently might never play again.
i really hope that he will come back next year
but would be absolutely shattered if he doesnt play again

I agree, we might be able to get a half forward line for the future with Miller, Bate and Garland but at the moment next year we will have only Robbo coming off a restricted preseason and Newton and maybe your man Zomer. So whilst drafting will eventually fill the whole taking a chance on a second hander is a good idea - as long as its not Courtney Johns.

thats was horrible to watch the poor thing watching a full man crawl like that god i could feel his pain
hope he does make it back asap
so sad that his season is done hes a fantastic player

but they always do say the worst 1st so who knows he could be back sooner rather than later

I hate that it takes a serious injury to Robbo and the retirement of Neitz for us to FINALLY realise that our forwardline future is the pits. Unlucky for Robbo, but the positive means we are now forced to try and forge a new direction for our forwardline, much in the same respect as our backline. Trent Zomer anyone? Not a real suggestion, but not far off the mark with how we are going.

Bailey has stated that Juice will be very close to getting a shot next week too. Lets hope he stands up with the close attention he is sure to receive from both Collingwood players and scrutiny he will encounter on here if he fails to perform..

i want brown, i wanna start a petition to get brown... or at least a fit ff who doesnt like getting injured... we dont seem to have them in high stock... i say go for hurley, we are gonna have first choice :(

That was a bad shock for you guys with Robbo going down with an horrible achillies injury.

you need to have another FF there.

unfortunately, once u do a achilles, ur never the same. that includes in any sport u play in. i wish robbo a speedy recovery. i went to the game yesterday and it was very sad to see he go like that. :(
