Toast Sam Lord recognition well deserved

I Know we toast our on field stars and a lot of people won't even know who Sam is but I thought his award the other week was really well deserved. He is basically running the show in Melbourne for the club single handed for the last two years and writes some fantastic articles on the website. On top of this win lose or draw he is always friendly and happy to have a chat to the supporters.

Nice thread mikey, yeah Sam really is a very worthy recipient of 'The Pride of the Lions' award - a seemingly tireless worker, whether it be web write-ups, pub functions, formal functions, out and about at Lions Melbourne training, the odd Fitzroy games, can even be seen at historical and coterie functions... and always with a huge smile and welcoming handshake - Loves ya work Sammy!

Great writer as well, his pieces on the Lions site this year have been very good.

The whole Lord family are fantastic. When I signed up this year, Sam met me and my mates, introduced me to Rob Kerr and the team in the lions dungeon, took us around the museum and then his old man had lunch with us and told us all about the altitude trip in the states. Lions for life. Great family and Sam is a superstar, reat for our club.

No he is not the Sam that rings SEN. I have met the Sam who rings SEN, great guy, think he rid a poem about Browny at a function in Melbourne a few years ago.
