Welcome to the second National Draft for the St Kilda Board's Fantasy Football Keeper League.

Each team will have 12 hours to make their pick. If you have not taken your pick within 12 hours, the draft will continue without you. When you are available to take your selection you will be able to from the available players.

If you have failed to make your selection by the time that your next pick comes around, you will have a further 12 hours to make your selections. If you don't make your selections by this point you will have your picks auto-picked from the players with the highest drafted player in the AFL draft. Once you have had a player auto-picked you will not be able to take any further picks outside of the time limit. As soon as your 12 hours is up you will receive an automatic selection.

This is why it is important to ensure that you pass on a preference list to somebody else if you are not sure you're going to be available. For strategic purposes it is probably best that you try and sort this out with somebody on the other side of the draft order than you.

The draft order will be updated in the post below once finalised and the available players in the post below that which will be updated as the draft progresses.

Please keep discussions in the other thread and leave this one for draft picks only.

P.S. If we could detail our selection number, the players first and last name, club and then name the coach after us that would be great...

i.e.

"Pick 1 - Hugh McLuggage

Armoooo, you're up."

Soooo. Why wait?

Pick 1 - Hugh McCluggage

EMMA QUAYLES REVIEW

McCluggage plays at a frenetic pace and with great anticipation. He makes very quick decisions, he makes them while on the move and more often than not they are good ones. He's a busy, energetic player, one who can gather the ball cleanly, keep his balance and take off, creating space for himself to move into. He is a high possession winner and was a reliable goalkicker this year, averaging a couple a game and kicking them from all sorts of angles. He plays with class, confidence and a lot of enthusiasm. Like McGrath, he's a star.

Then to put the cat amongst the pidgeons

Pick 2 - Tim Taranto

EMMA QUAYLES REVIEW

Taranto has a habit of being there when things get interesting. He wants to have an influence; he wants to make things happen. He's able to switch between the midfield and forward line and cause some damage with his ability to take overhead marks, his vision, his directness and his ability to either get out into some space or evade others when allowed less room to move. His kicking can be inconsistent but he's able to win the ball in contests and tackle hard to get it back if he has to. He plays like he wants the ball in his hands and like he knows what a difference he can make.

I was with him on Sunday, he's still keen.

Wont be drafting until after the National draft has taken place, so unfortunately CF will have to wait a little while for his next pick :p
We probably need to have an alternative means of communication for him though as he's at a disadvantage when it comes to trading etc. - not sure if Ultimate Footy allows messages from the site through to email or whatever - would be handy if it did.

Also while we're on the subject of Ultimate Footy, one of 12Chill or PetWussy hasn't signed up to the site yet I think - not sure which - don't know who's Jack's team is.

Im still yet to sign up forgot all about that. Can someone give me a quick update what it is again?

Sorted, we're all signed up.

I think if Armoooo finalises participants we can enter our teams.

Is the make up of the lineup correct - only has 5 backs and forwards - should be 6 shouldn't it? Only 5 centres instead of 7

I did a test message to see if they go by email as well as on the site, but I don't think they do. On the assumption that nobody else can see the messages other than us 10 maybe TJ could put his email on that site?

We all could to be honest but chances are big footy is best way to reach me.

majortinkle you can make a selection
I figure with 3 lists still to be lodged we should probably relax the 12 hour rule. If we were going by the rule book tj's picks shouldn't count as he doesn't have space for them so don't think we should wave it at saintbatty and he miss out on such an early pick.

CursingFijian you're the next 2 picks after me - are you ok with the delay?

Think that's fair.
