This is one of the main reasons I ended up buying an Xbox 1.

Scaleboundis an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Microsoft Studios, currently scheduled for release in 2017 for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. In this game, players assume control of Drew, who is accompanied by a dragon called Thuban. Players can use a variety of weapons to defeat enemies, and may issue commands to the dragon, which assists players during battles. Unlike other games developed by PlatinumGames, the game puts more focuses on graphical qualities and the role-playing aspect instead of action.

I had my eye on this game for a while but looks like we'll all be disappointed now.

Not at all surprised by this news. Seemed like it was in development hell for the past 12 months with basically no news being released.

One can only wonder how such a game could end up in this position in the first place. Insufficient funds? Incompetent developers?

Seems like maybe Platinum Games couldn't meet the deadlines set by MS perhaps...

Also i heard some of the lead developers basically had to go on stress leave due the large workload.

pretty major **** up that studios name will be mud now. microsoft are loaded surely they could of got more people in and got the game done

Seems Microsoft wanted to add elements in the game which wasn't in the original plan, PG fell on deadlines and mechanic problems lead to the game getting the boot.
