I know, I know, WTF would we want him for considering the strength of our midfield ???
How about a shield for our list ..................

Harding was delisted by the Lions as part of the Great Fev Squeeze, as outlined in the article. What was also noted is that he has been earmarked as a starter in the GC17 team !!!!!!!!!!
We all know the GC17 have a free crack at out of contract players next year, so why not snag Harding with a late pick, put him on a 1 year contract and then offer him to the GC17 as our uncontracted player ............ It wouldn't be too much of a wasted pick either as we will get compensation from the AFL, which would probably be better than the pick used to snag him in the first place (lets face it, a late pick in ANY draft will be better than one in this draft)
This will obviously depend on list management, there is no point delisting a player for another who will only be around for a year. But IF Bradshaw doesn't come to Carlton and we have a spare pick up our slieves (I would want #12 and #43 to be used for KPP's) then we could prob do worse IMO

While most have Harding pegged as a starter for the Gold Coast team when it enters the competition in 2011, he doesn't want to be lost to the AFL next year.
