I cant believe we aren't celebrating the warrior heart of the big fella. Showed enormous commitment to our side coming in against Hawthorn and playing his heart out as a lone hand in the ruck, then last week to continue playing for three quarters despite being seriously injured. That shows guts and commitment. It's very obvious this guy is a gun ruck-in-waiting and is only dragging his (100kg) arse though this season to provide back-up. Clearly headed for end of season surgery. One of the hugely unsung reasons for this teams success is they play as a unit, for each other and its on full display when you see a bloke do that for his mates. Take a bow Scotty.

He has been so unfortunate with injuries. He would be in the side if it weren't for his constant lack of match fitness. That is absolutely no sledge on Sinclair who has elevated his game to a new level and started taking some great contested grabs. Having both of these guys rotating over the next 5 years with Nic Nat will be immense.

It's so hard to praise Lycett without also heaping praise on Sinclair. He's come along in huge leaps this year with Scotty battling for fitness and form. Can't wait to see them fighting each other for the number two spot; at least now we know we can rely on Sinkers as a key forward if JK or the King go down.

Done boys.

Good problem to have

Awesome last week ...hopefully he's ok as we might need him if sinkers gets injured and I think sinkers is doubtful this week maybe

He was tremendous last week

Scott Lycett on footyfix 7mate now :thumbsu:

Explained that he was struggling with osteitis pubis around the middle of the year.

Yea I said early in the year he had op, when he wasn't playing well at east perth, and
people continued to bag him.

OP takes a long time to recover from, hopefully the long lay off with the knee helps with the groins.

Giving this a bump Simpson said Lycett will have surgery in the next few weeks on his PCL. Toughed it out didn't want to leave Giles out to dry. Tough boy.

Next few weeks - that seems like a long time to wait? Surely you want to get him in sooner than that so he is fully recovered in time for the pre season, especially considering our likely ruck situation in 2017...

None the less, huge effort from Slyce to play through the pain. Hopefully he comes back bigger and better next year.

Simmo said they'll spend some time that they didn't have over the last few weeks to get some different opinions from different surgeons, doubt Simmos head would have been right during that presser tonight though, you'd expect by mid week he'd be having / had it done.

Fair enough...hopefully they're on to it pretty quick smart. A fit Lycett with a good pre season base is integral to us being any sort of contender next year
