This kid deserves some respect. He has hardly played any games and is already one of our leaders in the backline. He has a great footy brain and is an equally good player.

And just wanted to say I was first on the Thornton bandwagon two seasons ago!

We picked him up at #66 in the draft of 2000. He looks the goods and is learning the craft well from Parker. He never looks rushed.

Its not often I am wrong on this site ;) , and its even less often that I admit to it!.
But a couple of years ago I was calling for Thornton to be delisted, how very wrong I was.
Hes a funny looking guy but boy can he play.

mini-Clive :D

Have you noticed that he's turning into the backline marshall, and the kid can run even if he does look silly

Went to the game with my mum and she asked me why Waterhouse was playing in the defence now, how did he lose so much weight, and god hadn't he got better!! We have to forgive her cause she's a vic and a cat's supporter!!

I think his best assest is the run he provides from the backline, he seems to run through the lines well and his kicking is pretty good. I wouldn't say he is a gun, but certainly a handy player that adds depth to our side.

He is still far too skinny to play on, and beat the big boys, but is good on a teams 2nd-3rd best attacker. He can play on tall or small which is good and like i have said provides alot of run out of the backline.

Certainly a very good start to the year, to the guy i simply call. Mr Albino (i think thats how you spell it) :D :D

He was a rock in defense this week. He was only one who seemed to be able to consistantly get a fist to the ball, hes definately growing into his roll.

At the Game!

Far out.

You guys could be heard during the telecast.

Well done.

We could use a game day sticky for people who go to interstate games win lose or draw. A bit of feed back on the atmosphere, what the opposition supporters where like etc.

Agreed. Well done to the interstate Freo supporters who were at the game. It couldn't have been that easy if you witnessed the Richmond game first hand.

It was great to hear the Fremantle support (including the FREO chant) during the game. It would have helped our team no end.

The Great White Flash is slowly becoming one of my favourite players.

Ive been trying to compare him to other players who have put their stamp on the game.

Bad move.

He's gonna be a one off.

Looking forward to watching him develop from a young gun to big gun. :D

He will go through his career not noticed, a bit like parker. Just doing his job day in and day out.

When I first saw this kid play in the Mighty Red and White,I was at a loss to explain to people where and why we had picked him.I never thought he would amount to anything but has he proven me wrong.
He is very strong for a guy with his type of build and has a very good football brain.
Will be a super star in his own right,as someone else said similar to Parker.Just goes about his job and then heads for home no fuss.
Will be very good for us for many years.

Yeh, I look forward to the continued emergence of The Rash. Is it just me though, or does his kicking lack depth at times?
