birre vs Forrest round one looks like a cracker to see where both sides are at. Heard alot about both of them and will be interesting to see how all the talk holds up. the other matches look like one sided affairs. nothing of real interest in them but forrest and birre does have me licking the lips. hilly are you going to be starting in the ones?

Yeah have to agree- both seem well coached and with the addition of new players both could suprise this year.:thumbsu:

I am not sure... I have not trained enough as work is flat out.

Irrewarra-Beeac vs Otway Districts
Apollo Bay vs Western Eagles
Alvie vs Simpson
Birregurra vs Forrest
South Colac vs Lorne
Colac Imperials Bye

Alvie vs Simpson should be interesting as I have not heard too much about Alvie and Simpson appear to have spent some money in the off season.

I am looking forward to see how we (Birre) with a few additions and a big pre season take on a re vamped Forrest.

Other than that, unless there are some surprises I can't see the other games being close.

Great game at Birre today, Forrest ran away with it winning by 5 or 6 goals... positive signs for Birre against a side that looked good. The Gannon boys, Craig Phillips, Jared Brien and Simon Barret the main players to come back in from injury. Looks as if we will be missing Mick Davis and Matt Nelson next week though!

(Apollo Bay) Brian Hinkley 9, Damien O'connor 4, Jeremy Ellis 1, Kane Mallia 1, Tyson Holt 1, Thomas Butterworth 1, Anthony Davies 1
(Western Eagles) Dale Boyd 2, Michael Grant 1, Peter Hickey 1, Joshua Sampson 1, Dane Sisic 1, Justin Mooney 1

Best

Round 7

Colac Imperials v South Colac
Irrewarra-Beeac v Birregurra
Apollo Bay v Alvie
Otway Districts v Lorne
Western Eagles v Forrest
Simpson v Bye

I see 3 key games this week.
The unbeaten IB at home to Birre which will be a real test for the Saints, if the weather turns out as reported it could turn out a low scoring tough contest.

The under performing Bay hosting the unbeaten Alvie, wild conditions on the waterfront should make for an interesting day, if Hinkley is to make his return the conditions potetially not be worse for a big man.

And surprisingly Otway and Lorne will battle it out for a spot in the 5 this week which could give the boys from Gelli an added incentive against last years premiers.

Anyone else got any thoughts?

i watched the Alvie V Apollo Bay game..Bay by 9.. Alvie would have won if not for the numerous injuries that were sustained during the match. B.Lynch, T.McCrickard,R.Mckenzie and A.Kelly were all walking wounded
please correct me if there are any i have missed?
