It a good thing I didnt start this thread last night as I was ropeable and probally would have said somethings I regreted.
But here goes.
We are no finals threat
We at the moment are no top 4 side.
Untill we can play man on man football we will never be premireship contenders, I dont care how flashy some of our players are, we simply are one of the softest sides going around in the competition.
Longmuire is weak as they come, unable to hold his ground and only good when he is the 4th man up.
Medhurst is arogant and frankly needs a wake up call.
Headland is either injured or almost as big a disapointment as Longmuir.
Key Forwards are what we have lacked our entire time at the afl, and we still lack them.
Polak is at least 5 years away from his best and at the moment Longmuir may never be anything more than potential.
Maybe its time for Murphy to be given a run.
Forget about the fight back, there was none essendon merely let the foot off the gas.
I for the first time in a long time was almost ashamed to be a supporter of hte dockers.
THat said my faith has been tested...but it remains.
Away games are all I look forward to now as like last year home games mean nothing.

I have to disagree with the Longmuir call.

Yeah i think he is a bit weak, and maybe thats typical of our side atm, but I think he was near bog for freo this week and not shabby last week either. His ruckwork has been pretty decent (although it did coincide with our run in the 2nd half, 1st half he was dominated)

Can't argue with the rest of it really.. man on man football is a must! screw this zoning off shyte.

Don't expect too much from Murphy though, i wouldnt think he'd be as good as Polak and he seems to be struggling a tad forward.
Havent seen the bloke play tho.

I don't think we can blame the players for that zoning crap. It happened too many times and looked to deliberate for the coach not to be involved in it. Simply put, that part of our strategy was bad coaching.

I said before the game that it was a "Courageous" decision to leave him out. Zoning or no Zoning we got well and truly flogged in the Midfield in the first half. I doubt if we would have won a single clearance. Justin was very good in the 2nd half once Allan tired a bit but by then it was pretty well over.

Gary lyon summed i up on TSFS today.

He said that Snake & Jlo are "big men" and they need to impose themselves.

While 211 is not as skilled as the others he does have a "presence".

Longmuire is weak as they come....tad harsh I'd just like to see some consistent and even performances
Medhurst is arogant and frankly needs a wake up call....away form is a massive concern (maybe we see how Murphy plays away?)
