Not really. He seems to do well due to his combination of height but leaness.

He has long reach which he uses well in packs, but can still move swiftly because he is not carrying any bulk, and has long strides.

Pike these days is very solid.

In his earlier days he was still not quite so pacy as Tucky if I remember rightly, and wasn't quite so adventurous.

yeah its not the silliest thing Ive heard, as i thought as much myself..very tall ruck rover good mark and carries the ball...lets hope he doesn't emulate Pikeys off field exploits where he rewrote the book at Fitzroy, Melbourne and North melbourne before settling at the Lions...although the media manager that wore a liverpool kiss in the post GF celebrations might have something to say about that!

I think he is more like a Young Michael Tuck! I am not trying to be funny. Tuck was a late developer, played alot of seconds games and became a games legend.

I actually talked about drafting this guy and how much of a risk it would be to take him late in a draft and got shot down by nearly everyone.

I think he is a real find, I thought that last year in a few games I saw. He certainly has something that I like. GReat story.....

Has a younger brother in the TAC cup.....I guess the Hawks will be trying to tie him up ASAP.

Travis is struggling a bit and didn't make the Vic Metro training squad of 50+, so probably off to Box Hill for a year or two. Another probable late developer.

The Pike comparison doesn't work for me. Pike played as a full forward originally and then lots of key defence, and back-flank. Tuck is a different type. More Tyson Stenglein for mine.
