G'day guys,

At the game and It looked like (I think) Tuck was wearing either ear plugs or hearing aids?

Does he have a problem with his ears?

Thanks

Smokey

No he's not, he has an ear drum problem which I believe he's had surgery on a couple of times. What you see in his ear is just protective padding. Its only on one side.

This. However can't blame people for not knowing about it... I remember a certain dirty scum team not knowing and claiming he was cheating not that long ago.

LOL that was funny. :D:thumbsu:

I actually met Tucky when i was in melbourne over the christmas period and he explained to me that he had suffered perforated ear drums as a child. He has had surgery to try and minimise the damage to his hearing, but he will never have 100% hearing again. He wears the earplugs to keep out the moisture from his eardrum. He said if moisture gets in, it can cause an infection and his hearing will get worse.

Thanks again for that. Must be difficult hearing his team mates over the crowd noise combined with the muffling effect of the plugs.

I think it was the Western Bulldogs who thought he was wearing an earpiece and communicating with our bench.

LOL...It was Collingwood who accused Richmond/Tuck of wearing a earphone connected to the coaches box and taking direct orders.

When did Collingwood accuse us?

The Bulldogs definitely accused us in Round 3 2009.

It`s in a Footy Record article from Round 13 that year.

In Round three, the Western Bulldogs even queried whether Tuck was illegally receiving messages from the coaches box.

"That was pretty funny",he says.
"The boys still have a joke about it".

It`s on page 31.
