Was so disappointing today. Really expected him to step up with his bigger body and ball finding ability but geezes, he was as a down hill skier today. Several times he just "gave up" and simply let his opponent run off. There was one instance in the second qtr where just jogged on the spot and i had steam coming from my ears. He was dragged straight away.

Not good enough griggy.:mad::thumbsd:

Both players have had 18 tackles across 7 games, Grigg's had two with zero tackles and three with just one, not really good enough from senior players with good size bodies.

Both have linked up well and shown good run and carry, but fair to say neither has improved us much defensively at this stage - each has had good patches where they've shown they are capable defensively, just not anywhere near consistently enough IMO, at times they've been liabilities.

Grigg is going ok. . . . but hardly an upgrade on tuck in my book.

This was always the down side him at Carlton though. Doesn't work hard enough.

0 tackles in a game these days is shocking.

I like both of them but feel they are a bit soft.

Houli ecspecially is very soft but again we knew this when he came to us. There was one instance in the game where he gave a handball up quickly to a dogs player because he didn't want to take the hit that was coming if he held onto the footy.

sad isn't it... the guy has so much potential and he has an attitude that he thinks "it's owned to him", which is why he left Carlton for Ratten would not play him until he displayed he could pull his finger out and he didn't like Ratten pushing those home truths on him (plus the lure of more money as well). If he continues in his current form he might have a bit of deja-vu as he's dropped to the twos for not working hard enough... if that happens he may go sulk and ask to be traded to GWS.

I was paying particular attention to him for parts of the match and came to the concusion that he should be dropped.

Yeah, he needs a better workrate (isn't that what we dropped Morton for?), but the most annoying part for me is that whenever he got the ball, invariably he went backwards or sideways. As the match went on, he suddenly started to kick it forward more (usually long to a pack), so I suspect he copped a rocket about it.
