What was shaping as another rountine step in Rhys Shaw's recovery from a knee-reconstruction took on far more significant proportions on Wednesday night.
After six months of dogged rehabilliation the estatic Shaw was rewarded for his toil with the clubs medicos allowing him to join the last training session of the year then next day.

Good news for Rhys and his family and for Magpies fans.
Hopefully he can have a great 2006 season and maybe just might become a leader of your club in the years to come.

I was at the session - he left the track early with Licuria and Lockyer, about 3/4 of the way through the session. Just did handballing on the wing - nothing special, but he has certainly built himself up.
