should i get ps3?

guys thinking of getting a ps3 , just wondering if use think the price ( 688) will go down much for christmas, or should i jus fork out the cash and just get it now, really am in two minds, only waiting for a price drop really can get it for 724 from dick smith wit a choice of 2 outta 5 pre chosen games

With the games out in the next 2 months it would be stupid to hold out, I don't think there will be an official price cut anytime soon, but as I said the games coming out over the next 2 months will make the system worth getting.

Just so you know what will be the great games, here is as short of a list as I can make(In no particular order): LittleBigPlanet(PS3 Exclusive), Resistance 2(PS3 Exclusive), Motorstorm 2(PS3 Exclusive), SOCOM: Confrontation(PS3 Exclusive), Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Skate 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Mirror's Edge, Call of Duty 5, Saints Row 2, Dead Space, Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, James Bond, Tom Clancy's End War.

That's as short as I could make the list.

The only thing that might be worth holding out for is a possible LittleBIGPlanet bundle but it will still at most only save you $50 so you may as well buy one now and get LBP next Tuesday.

Depends how keen you are mate. There is a certain price cut for the Xbox360 coming pre christmas, so in all likelihood the ps3 will follow suit. No idea how much it will be tho.

Yes there are some great games coming out, but they will still be there in a couple of months if you choose to hold out. You might even get a few preowned ones that have been traded on the shelves.

All depends on how patient you are. I certainly wouldnt call you stupid to hold out, prudent is probably a better term. You can make a more informed choice on games too about a month after they are released, and the hype has dissipated and the reviews start commenting on the true merit of a game, rather than its potential to be good.

Basically with online, all you need to do is once you have your PS3 you will get an ethernet cord with it(Might need to upgrade as it is only about 5 metres long), you plug that into your PS3 and then into your modem, then you will need to set up your PlayStation Network account, get a username and your away, it is all quite simple and easy and shouldn't be very hard even to a novice.
