SMS ads

Does anybody else have a problem with these ads on lately encouraging to sms to find out if your partner is cheating or if they are the right partner for you based on their name?

To think that somebody would break up with somebody or suspect them of cheating based on an anonymous sms is ridiculous. Yes, I know you would have to be stupid but for companies to advertise these services is wrong.

I check my bill today, and see I have been charged $20 for reciveing some SMS messages . 4 in total at 5 dollars a pop


I worked out that they originate from here - http://194060.com/

has anyone come across this scam?

I dont even know how they got my number, yet they were sending me SMS;s that cost me 5 bucks each. And I never even sent them one.

I just sent them the most abuive email you will ever read. Also called Telstra and had their number barred, and the lady at Telstra reimbursed me the money

I suppose they're annoying. I mute when ads are on though.

The ones about "girls gone wild" annoy me though because some of the women look like slags

BTW yes i've seen the ads and yes i think they're shit, about as shit as that yanky game show that puts a partner on a lie detector test and asks them quesitons like 'have you ever lusted after someone else'.

Yep, had the same thing from a different number, saying I had entered my details on the internet. Pretty much you could enter anyone's number and they will send the message which costs 5 bucks each.

Just ridiculous.

This thread seems to be appropriate for this. I assume you all know those shitty ringtone websites that ask for your number. You just put your number in............ I put in numbers of people that piss me off in the hope that they will accept it. They aren't particularly smart, so i'm guessing they had to make their way down to safeway to recharge. And if they don't suscribe you can just keep putting their numbers in over and over to piss them off.

yeah they piss me off all the time. It's as though they think that ripping off people who are pre paid is cool. They should just piss off and leave people alone.
