the mighty coburg tigers are back on track to give the vfl flag a good shake.
some interesting points came out of yesterdays game.

royce vardy will be delisted at the end of the year just going on yesterdays performance alone.maybe he sees the writing on the wall or something but geez to be beaten by bourke its goodbye!

in an interesting twist at half time the week before they interview matty knights who suggested dean talbot would be worth a punt at afl level even tho he will be 28 i think next year.
i have watched him closely and i cant see any reason why not to give him a chance hell he cant do any worse than vardy so what have we got to loose? he reads the play much better,he is cool under pressure, finds a target and has plenty of expeiriance behind him. pick him up with a late draft pick and take it from there.

i was impressed with the young kid kuret when he came on.showed a lot when he came on. maybe a spot on the rookie list at least for him.

mcgrath what can i say geez if he was able to take that speccy it would have been the greatest mark of all time at any level.look for him next year.

great win now to next week against port.

cheers!

Coburg 14 . 15 . 99
Kangaroos 11 . 8 . 74

Nah Krakouer misses out on the finals which is a shame same goes for Kristian DePasquale he played half of last weeks game with a torn ligament in his knee and he tried to convince the doctors on monday that nothing was wrong with his knee just so he could play but he needs a reco. Paul Hudson got all the other players to write krak's and dippas initials on their wrists before the game so they would remember the players who helped them get to the finals but couldn't take part which I thought was a great gesture.

exellcent that Coburg won after the 1 point losse to Werribee last week now beat Port next week and than win the VFL flag :D.Mcgrath took an exellcent mark good to hear.will be great to watch the game when I finally do :D at least it worked unlike last week .I think I'll go see Coburg play next week just gotto work out how to get to there :o.opps and thanks Draggas_Girl :o :o

Geelong will be very tough to beat should they and Coburg go on to meet in the Grand Final. The Cats are lucky enough to have numerous experienced senior players available (McGrath, White, Mensch) and young talented players (Ablett, Bartel).

Most importantly they have Paul Chapman; from what I saw today he looked a class above the standard of this footy as his football went up in leaps and bounds this season at senior level. Hard to believe he was a regular reserves player early this season; hence his qualification to play in this finals series.

On paper at least, Coburg doesn't have enough depth from its Richmond list to match the quality that Geelong has. But thankfully, matches aren't played on paper. Go the Tigers!

I watched a weakened Coburg team run a strong Geelong to within a point at the 'G midway through the season. In fact, haven't our only losses in the second part of the season been by tiny margins?

We all no how good geelong is but what are port melbournes chances of beating us this weekend? I've watched a little of geelong and coburg but have only seen 1 port match . How good are they? and home ground advantage must also come into consideration.

Thoughts please.
