Sony/BMG FM ?

I am a jjj man but whenever i am forced to listen to Hobart's SeaFM at work I go batty with the constant repeating playlists of garbage (than can go on for 6 months or more). I have noticed that "nollsy" & all the other Idol crud gets massive airplay along with alot of artists in the Sony/BMG stable.

I have heard that large record companies pay for this airplay (through "gifts" mainly). Is this true ? It shi*s me to tears............

Of course it's true. How else are radio stations meant to work out what to tell people to like?
