Good on you St Kilda, sack your coach after all he took you to 3 years of successive finals 2 of which where prelims. What about when when stan Alves took you to 2 successive years of finals 1 of which was a GF and then you sacked him.

I dont get it. It took Carey/Pagan's Kangaroos a while in the finals to win there flags.

You can go even further back than that, what about ken sheldon. he was a great coach just had a faling out with the players, same as alves. these 2 should never have left.
As for Grant Thomas good riddence, what a joke of a coach. Anyone could coach the saints list. If he was a good coach he would of got a top ruckman to our side and we would have a premiership by now.

Some are even talking that Kenny Sheldon could come back to the club to coach. What's he been doing the past few years anyway? He's fairly young but does he still have what it takes? Slim chance of him coming back anyway.

You could say it was a proactive decision to get rid of GT now, but we can't win the flag next year with a new guy coming in and starting all over again. It'd be good to have GT around the club in a non-coaching role but unfortunately Butterss and him don't get along.
