Hi all
This sub was extremely helpful in the first half of last year when I first launched Steamified.com . Several of the mods were especially thoughtful and considerate of advice and constructive criticism. A couple of you were there to lend advice as I went through my debilitating back injury that made me bed-ridden for a month and make the soul crushing decision to put the site on the back burner when I had to move half way around Australia for my partner with the idea that taking the rest of the year off would enable a better launch this year.
Today Steamified went live again. Most exciting. The most pride I have, however, is in the pleasure of announcing our partnership with the Make a Wish Foundation. Thankfully I've never known anyone who has received a wish but I really believe in the wonderful work that they do.
Along this journey I've been grateful to meet and forge relationships with a number of development studios and publishers both at a AAA level and smaller Indies. I've seen firsthand the level of effort and work that goes into creating a game - some of which have been held in critical acclaim and others have resulted in the devs wanting to give up on their dreams but the work ethic is there and it is incredibly strong. A dozen of them have helped make an impact with the launch today (giveaways on site).
I really want Steamified to be a site where developers large and small can have their work spotlighted, gamers can discover hidden gems, where Early Access titles are given some insight, that AAA studios want to contribute and show off their games as well and that above all else is socially aware and contributing to build a better tomorrow.
I'm far from the most talented web dev but I am learning and will slowly take the site to where I want it to be appearance wise. It's a little too amateurish at the moment but I'll learn.
Thank you
